A Sitar Concert at the Olympia

Sun is a feature film directed by Jonathan Desoindre in collaboration with Ella Kowalska, and tells the story of Sun (Tewfik Jallab), a Frenchman of Indian origin, who must juggle his own financial survival while also looking after his cousin Ash (Adaar Malik), who has just arrived from India with the dream of one day performing a sitar concert at the Olympia.

Sun, who at first sees only how to exploit every situation to his advantage—including his cousin’s naivety and gullibility—gradually learns the value of generosity.

This comedy is quite successful. It’s a fun watch. The characters are sometimes a bit caricatured and the situations occasionally border on the unbelievable, but the pacing is good and you won’t get bored. Also worth noting is the beautiful music by Jean-Michel Zanetti.
