Antarctica: Ice and Sky by Luc Jacquet
Ivan Magrin-Chagnolleau
The Secret of the Ice
The Ice and the Sky tells the fascinating story of scientist Claude Lorius, who spent his life searching the ice caps of the world for objective data on global warming. His first trip to Antarctica took place quite by chance in 1957 after he received a grant to conduct fieldwork there. But what began as a chance encounter eventually became a passion and a mission. And Claude Lorius dedicated his life to studying a serious problem affecting all of humanity, and to seeking objective truth about this issue.
The film is very intelligently and skillfully scripted by Luc Jacquet; the visuals and music are magnificent, and the narration is superbly written and delivered. A must-see film that deserves to be shared as widely as possible!
