In Arrangements Diane Borsato is producing ephemeral sculptures for photography. She uses plants, food and other locally available materials while working in residence in various international locations.

Arrangements will trace several years of the artist’s ongoing study of Sogetsu Ikebana (modern Japanese flower arranging). The images become artifacts of a trajectory of site-responsive research, practice and learning.

The images in this issue of p-e-r-f-o-r-m-a-n-c-e were the first in the ongoing series. They were made in Reykjavik; Iceland, and in Oakville, Toronto, and Prince Edward County; Canada.
