Nicolas Boulard

Nicolas Boulard was born in 1976 in Reims and grew up in a Champagne Family producer.

Since 2002, after his study at Ecole supérieure des arts décoratifs de Strasbourg, his visual vocabulary is organized essentially around wine and various ways of producing it. His works, which are at once immaterial and tangible, precise and endless, hyper-sensitive and anti-monumental, illustrate a lucidity about vine-growing systems and, at the same time, offer a re-reading and a representation thereof that break with tradition.

His artistic work was presented at the Frac Champagne Ardenne, at San Francisco MOMA, the Museum of the object in Blois.

He is actually living near Paris where he’s working on several projects as Specific Cheeses, Boulard Foundation and a solo show at Frac in Bordeaux for 2016.
