Jason D. Butler
Jason D. Butler, PhD, RDT-BCT is an Assistant Professor in the Creative Arts Therapies Department at Concordia University in Montreal, Quebec and on faculty at Lesley University in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
He is the Director of DvT Montreal, a training institute for the Developmental Transformations form of drama therapy and is currently President-Elect of the North American Drama Therapy Association (NADTA).
He has previously held positions on the board of directors of the NADTA Tri-State Chapter, the New York Coalition of Creative Arts Therapies and the Utah Theatre Association. Previously he was the director of a program for homelessness and mental illness in New York City and was on faculty in the Drama Therapy program at New York University.
His research centers on drama therapy with schizophrenia as well as drama therapy education and the use of personal affective material in experiential learning.
