Andrew M. Gaines
Andrew M. Gaines, RDT-BCT, LCAT, PhD Candidate is an Adjunct Professor at Pratt Institute, College of New Rochelle, and New York University — where he is earning his doctorate in Educational Theatre and researching applied arts praxis in gerontology. In addition to his private practice in New York City, he was the director of FACES Teen Theater at Maimonides Medical Center, and worked in adult psychiatric rehabilitation at Interfaith Medical Center for 10 years. He was President of the North American Drama Therapy Association’s (NADTA) Tri-State Chapter for 6 years, and as an educator, has designed and evaluated arts-based curricula across the United States, Japan, and Israel. Additionally, Andrew also has a distinguished career as a performing artist, playwright, and director across stage, film, and television.
